Escape to the streets of Tokyo as we create this infamous classic dish, Japanese Ramen!
This class is perfect for anyone who enjoys Asian flavors and wants to learn more about how to recreate these flavors and techniques at home!
In this fun, hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step in recreating this popular noodle soup dish, renowned for its rich broth, abundance of noodles and endless toppings! Your chef instructor will have marinaded eggs as well as your personal jar of homemade chili oil, and you will learn how to create the perfect balance of flavors while making your tare (blend of Japanese seasonings), and will cook marinated chicken to use in your bowl. You’ll prepare your Dashi (savory, umami-rich stock) and build your bowl to your liking to enjoy with your new found foodie friends!
While this dish isn’t vegetarian, dairy free or egg free – the chef instructor can guide you through options to make and enjoy a vegetarian, dairy free and/or egg free version. Just let her know at the start of class!
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. You will be seated with your booking party. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. This class is BYOB for those 21+! Bring your favorite Sake, wine or beer to pair with your delicious and handmade meal.
