I have been a member of Unity Atlanta for 10 or so years. Prior and to that, we attended Unity Boulder, in Colorado, for 7 years and Unity Clearwater, in Florida for 5 years. We were involved in new thought movements for since 1993.
I’ve been a nurse (BSN, MSN) my whole career, and in addition to medical skills, I think my listening skills, case management and Hospice perspective have helped to inform my qualifications for the Unity Atlanta Board. I feel called to the board to honor my profound belief in Unity principles. These beliefs have been strengthened through involvement with the Quest classes, as well as a number of other Unity classes, activities, and volunteer work.
I have been a manager in various RN positions, with staff looking to me for guidance. I was involved in outreach and research as an Infection Control Nurse, and have volunteered at an Assisted Living facility, as well as helping in a homeless shelter.
My true spiritual life began in 1993. I was raised in the Baptist Church, but turned away from those doctrines in my late teens. With my current husband, I attended spiritual group meetings for eight years, which introduced me to such practices as laying on of hands and group discussion about the Sedona Magazine and spiritual books such as “Conversations with God”. My husband and I attended the year-long Course in Miracles in Boulder, and have wrapped up The Quest meetings here at Unity. The Quest and the sweetly inciteful leaders, Jan and Cora, have profoundly deepened my commitment to Unity principles.
The challenge to explain Unity principles has primarily come from my family. I have grown from defending principles to explaining -joyfully-how they have changed my life. My children and grandchildren have come to support my beliefs.
I was able, by witnessing to my elderly mother, how my beliefs and hers were not so different, and that proof of this is her “conversion” from the limited view of reality presented by Fox News to the more balanced view of CNN. I also helped to change her voting for Republicans to Democrats.
What I value most in my life is the sharing of God’s love. My husband is the primary recipient of that love. I believe our relationship has been deepened through our spiritual journeys. My whole perspective has shifted from a sense of aloneness to the experience of being one with others, finding an all- pervasive gift of love here in Unity Atlanta- not just friendship -but real bonds of love. I also value honesty and integrity. I look- and increasingly find- these values in all others in my life. I’ve learned to substitute empathy for judgement. I have no conflict of interest with people in Unity.
I do love giving to Unity Atlanta. Through my position of Alternate Board member, I’ve been able to see and appreciate the variable and wonderful things the church is involved in and accomplishes. I am not, presently, seeking service as an officer, but, as my church-wisdom grows, I might, in the future, consider filling that need.

Dear Beloved Community, my name is Anthony Floria, and I am running again for the 2025 Boards of Trustees. I have been serving on the Board as your Treasurer for the past two years during my current three-year term. I have also been attending Unity Atlanta for over the past six years, when we relocated to Flowery Branch, Georgia from Los Angeles, California to help raise our granddaughter, Ella Mei who also attends the children’s church today.
Over the past Three years, I have been behind the scenes, learning and how to make Unity Atlanta a wonder place for all of us to enjoy. I never had any idea what it looks like to run a successful church and now I do. Moving forward into our 101st year, it’s going to takes a lot of work for us to continue to be successful.
As a team player, I have received a lot of experience working with different personalities and opinions that are different than mine. My sole purpose on the board is to help decide what is best experience for our Beloved Community and most of all, Unity’s future.
Over the past six years, I have been a part of the Care Team, a Prayer Chaplin, and attended Unity’s Men’s group. Also, for my spiritual growth, I attended The Disappearance of the Universe and The Course in Miracles.
I find Unity’s Principals are very important, especially if my ideas are challenged. I feel working with Principals requires me to look deeper at my thoughts, beliefs, and actions. This allows me to accept other people and their idea, just as God created them. When I bring in prayer and love into a conflict or disagreement, this helps me create a more positive outlook and new experiences. Most of all, I value my relationship with God, my wife Kim who I adore and my children.
Thank you for considering me to serve you again for another three-year term. I hope to earn your trust and vote.
Blessings and Gratitude,
Anthony Floria

To begin, I want to say it is an honor to be asked to run for a seat on the Unity Atlanta Church Board. It was the first Sunday in October 2022 that I first attended a service at Unity Atlanta Church, I immediately felt at home. I had found my church home which I had been searching for along time. I became a member in Spring 2023.
As a Board member, I would participate in the ongoing process on the growth of the church through different avenues. Be part of the decision making for the future of Unity Atlanta Church. Listening to the congregation on their wants and needs.
I am a retired Chiropractor who owned and operated my own practice in all business aspects. I have experience in running a business, making decisions for the betterment of my practice, increasing patient volume, managing employees, bookkeeping, and more. Also, I owned and operated my own Massage Therapy Practice which I started from scratch and built into a thriving practice.
My reason for wanting to be on the board is to be part of the on going spiritual growth of the church and my own continued spiritual growth.

My name is Brenda Bolden Williams and I am running to serve on the Leadership Team again.
I served on the board for 2 terms, and it was one of my rewarding periods, where I saw my growth and others take giant leaps in our spirituality. It is truly a blessing to give the gift of music to our congregation.
I am a mother of three sons, David, Michael, and Julian; two grandsons, David III and Kayson; one granddaughter, Layla. I am an Education Consultant and own the company, Student Advocacy Consultants.
Today, I ask for your vote to the Board of Trustees as a full pledge member to continue the fantastic work that Unity Atlanta Church has done in/ for our community.
With All Blessings,
