This is an advanced training class in the art of creating and delivering public prayer and meditation. Here you will learn both the theory and practice of these spiritual presentations.
- Theory:
- Explore the components of prayer and meditation and learn to distinguish between them
- Practice:
- Create and structure powerful prayers and meditations so they flow within the structure of an event or service
- Learn varied techniques to refine your delivery style for multiple environments
- Practice the specific style used for leading meditation during Unity Atlanta’s Sunday Services
After completing this course, you will have the opportunity to lead a meditation during Sunday Services at Unity Atlanta. Dates: Sundays: August 14th and 28th, Sept. 11th and 25th, and October 9thTime: 9:30 – 10:45 AMLocation: Unity Atlanta–Room 124, The Youth LoungeFirst Assignment: Please consider the difference between public and private meditation – and between public and private prayer.What is the relationship and difference between prayer and meditation? Bring these thoughts to first class. Rev. Larry is a 50+ year student of Unity principles who has presented classes, workshops and services on 3 continents. He has taught speech at University level.
