Xiomara will share with us how we love and support others in their development and growth. \nAbout Rev. Xiomara Malagon:\nRev. Xiomara Malagon is from the Dominican Republic (DR). She attended the Ministerial Education Program at Unity School of Christianity\, as an international student. She graduated and became licensed and ordained in 1999. \nIn December 2001\, she was hired by the Association of Unity Churches\, Inc.\, (dba as Unity Worldwide Ministries)\, as Worldwide Support Coordinator. In this position\, she trained\, counseled\, and coached leaders of Unity worldwide. She moved to Atlanta in December of 2010 and continued to serve UWM remotely until she retired in April of 2018. \nShe joined Unity Atlanta Church in 2011 and currently serves in the Congregational Care Team. She also offers lectures and workshops at Unity ministries in and outside of the United States and officiates bilingual wedding ceremonies and other services. \nRev. Xiomara was honored with the 2020 Myrtle Fillmore Award for her service and dedication to the Unity movement. \nDuring her downtime\, she loves making jewelry\, indoor gardening\, cooking and outdoor walks. She lives with her daughter Annette and cat Coco in Sandy Springs\, GA.

DESCRIPTION:Unity Atlanta Men’s Group \nThe men’s group meets onsite at the church the 1st – 3rd Thursdays of the month.  The 4th (and if applicable\, the 5th) Thursday is often a Game Night\, or one of a number of various activities. \n \nFor any questions\, including the logistics for the 4th and 5th Thursdays\, please TEXT Steve Peck at 770-639-5242 or email him at speck3053@comcast.net   \nLocation:  Unity Atlanta Room 108   Time: 7:30 – 9:00 PM \nFor any questions\,  please TEXT Steve Peck at 770-639-5242 or email him at speck3053@comcast.net/      \nThe Unity Atlanta Men’s Group Meetings begin with a brief 1-2 minute check-in during which each member shares how his week went\, what’s gong on in his life\, and any success or challenges he may be experiencing. \nWe then move on to a topic\, which either arises during the check-in or has been prepared in advance by one of the members.  Topics\, week from week\, have a wide range of subjects.  We share from our own experience rather than giving opinions or advice or telling stories.  Through this sharing\, a sense of brotherhood develops with the individual members while retaining an openness that is welcoming to all. \nOccasionally\, we also conduct public outreach\, and each fall we sponsor a men only retreat. \nMission Statement: \n\nWe are a self-supporting\, self-facilitating\, spiritually-based group\nWe remind each other that we are all connected and learn from our collective wisdom\nWe promote spirituality\, growth\, learning and community\nWe support each other and remind each other to live “in faith”\nWe share our lives\, our joy\, and our abundance to become like-minded brothers\nWe radiate our spirituality to our families\, friends and the world\nWe express our feelings and emotions through healthy communication\nRegardless of our means and circumstances\, we are friends and equals\nWe are here–join us!
